The Board of Trustees
The Hotchkiss Foundation trustees set policies relating to spending, investment, management, and governance. The Board currently consists of five Trustees, including the president.
President and ChairmanLt. Gen. William K. Hotchkiss III (Ret.) is the founder of the William K. Hotchkiss Foundation. After retiring in 1999 as the Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, he established the Hotchkiss Foundation and went back to his hometown of Cantilan. His distinguished and professional career in the military service served him well as he joined Cantilan Bank, Inc. (A Rural Bank) as the President and Chairman that same year. In the years since, he established the Hotchkiss Learning Center and founded the Cantilan Bank Foundation, always guided by his passion and commitment to serve the community and protect the environment. In June 2012, Lt. Gen. Hotchkiss took a hiatus from the position of President of Cantilan Bank as he accepted an appointment in government as the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. He also continues to serve as a trustee in the Philippine Eagle Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to wildlife and forest conservation.

TreasurerMaria Teresa P. Hotchkiss is a founding member of the Hotchkiss Foundation. Since 1999, she has served as its Treasurer. She graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Commerce from St. Teresa's College in Cebu. While being a full-time mom to four kids, she worked for several years for the Director of the National Security Council of the Philippines directly under the Office of the President in the Corazon C. Aquino administration. From 1990-1992 Mrs. Hotchkiss was with The Collective Investment Group in the Trust Department of Riggs National Bank in Washington D.C. In 1997, she co-founded the Aerokids' preschool in Villamor Air Base and helped manage the school as a Director. Recently, Mrs. Hotchkiss also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Cantilan Bank. She presently oversees the management of the Hotchkiss Learning Center.

TrusteeKarla Hotchkiss-Rufino is a founding member of the Hotchkiss Foundation. Ms. Hotchkiss-Rufino received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accountancy from the University of the Philippines in Diliman and her MBA from the National University of Singapore. Her career in finance and in the banking industry started in SGV & Co. Later on, she joined the Corporate Finance Department of Citibank Philippines. More recently, she worked in the Central Bank of the Philippines (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) and in the Asian Institute of Management. She has also served as the School Administrator of the Hotchkiss Learning Center and as a Board Member of Cantilan Bank. Currently, Ms. Hotchkiss-Rufino, CPA, MBA holds the position of Assistant Vice President of Ratings Advisory, Global Capital Markets in HSBC Philippines.

TrusteeTanya Hotchkiss is a founding member of the Hotchkiss Foundation. Since 1999, she has served as the foundation's Corporate Secretary. Presently, she serves as Executive Director of the Hotchkiss Foundation and Administrator of the Hotchkiss Learning Center. She is currently the Executive Vice President of Cantilan Bank, Inc. and serves on its board. For several years, Ms. Hotchkiss was the Fundraising Officer of the Philippine Eagle Foundation, a non-proft organisation dedicated to wildlife and forest conservation. Ms. Hotchkiss received her BS in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines in Diliman and her Master’s degree in Development, Innovation and Change from the University of Bologna in Italy. In 2013, she was one of the recipients of the Devex Manila 40 Under 40 award. (Read her interview with Devex here.) In her spare time, she enjoys surfing, traveling, photography, and exploring the outdoors. As a child, she dreamt of becoming an archaeologist, astronaut, deep sea explorer, scientist, explorer, photographer, and professional tennis player. It's never too late!
