HLC's Annual Christmas Bazaar
Since 2013, the school has held a yearly Christmas bazaar with the objective of raising funds for the class' outreach project for the year. The event also aims to serve as an opportunity for HLC students to hone their social entrepreneurship and budget management skills. It also allows our students to showcase their creativity and skill in cooking and baking.
You can buy the following items there for kids: lunchboxes, coin savings boxes (different designs), schoolbags, hairbands, clips, stationery, coloring books, sharpeners, erasers, necklaces, hello kitty & winnie the pooh & my melody hand fans, spongebob items, dora writing pads, jewelled compact mirrors, disney & spiderman & ben 10 giant ballpens, hello kitty ballpens and erasers, stickers (naruto, ben 10, dora, barbie, disney), play doh clay with glitters, angry birds wallet with stickers, sharpeners (with different minions designs), coin purses, etc.
You can also buy the following for "bigger" kids (a.k.a. adults): earrings, ballerina shoes, michaela sandals, nail polish, argan oil hair conditioner, vanity kits, shoulder bags/purses (branded), underwear, tshirts for men, slippers, microfiber washcloths, etc. There are also food items for sale such as macaroons, cookies, cupcakes, yema, native delicacies, buko juice, brownies and coffee, Ghirardelli chocolate. The homemade baked goodies are made by the students, their teachers, and friends. |
It's that time of the year again! Visit the Annual HLC Christmas Bazaar where you can shop for your holiday presents, taste the baked goods that our students made, win some raffle prizes, AND help us raise funds for our outreach program!
You can buy little items from stationery to clothes to baked goods that will serve really well as holiday presents. On the first day, you can also buy your lunch there with options ranging from lechon, chicken BBQ, ginataang langka to pizza and sushi and kimchi. Our objectives are two-fold: we want to encourage all HLC students to harness their creativity and try their hand at entrepreneurship and apply their skills and knowledge to managing a small enterprise; the proceeds of our fundraiser will go towards supporting the school's outreach program. The students will be making, cooking, and baking goodies such as cupcakes, siakoy con sikwate, cassava cake, local delicacies like bud bud and tira tira. See you there! |
